Overview:
Duratherm Window Corporation provides custom high quality wood window and door systems for today’s cutting edge contemporary architecture. We are a company that works with and satisfies the needs of the architectural community with problem-solving ingenuity and impeccable attention to detail.
Duratherm had its start in collaboration with master architect Louis Kahn on the Phillips Exeter Academy library. We have been in the forefront of important contemporary architecture ever since, working with such exemplary firms as Gwathmey Siegel, Gehry Partners, UN Studio, Aldo Rossi, Machado and Silvetti, and Skidmore Owings & Merrill to name but a few.
All our projects are custom; we do not have a “stock” line of products. From the basics such as sizing of individual units, wood species selection, and glazing types to more sophisticated involvement such as integration with rain screen wall detailing, participating in LEED certified building construction, or providing product and consultation for highly specialized applications in museums and galleries, Duratherm has the know-how, expertise and willingness to positively contribute.
We specialize in providing wood window walls for contemporary commercial, institutional and residential applications. Our ability to provide the necessary engineering and structural support to create these dramatic window wall areas is what sets us apart from other wood window manufacturers.
