Overview:
Founded as Kemlite Company in 1954, Crane Composites is currently the world's largest manufacturer of fiber-reinforced composite materials. We are a wholly owned subsidiary of Crane Co, (NYSE:CR), $2 billion-dollar business based in Stamford, Conn.

During our years as Kemlite, we grew steadily, acquiring the Filon manufacturing facility in Jonesboro, AR, in 1993 and Sequentia, Inc. in Grand Junction, TN, a manufacturer of frp for the building products industry, in 1998. In 2001, we extended our manufacturing operations to the U.K. by acquiring Lampro, Britain's leading frp producer. In 2002, we acquired another frp manufacturer, Lasco Composites LP in Florence, KY, and Qualis, a film embossing company. Our presence in the Recreational Vehicle market was extended through the acquisitions in Goshen, IN of Noble Composites in 2006 and the composite panel business and research and development center of Owens Corning in 2007, a portion of the Fabwel business unit; And by establishing an RV warehouse service center.

In 2006, production of the new Zenicon thermocomposites products began in Joliet at a new site in the Southfield Industrial Park in Joliet, IL. This new venture for Crane Composites supports the growing trend for continuous reinforced thermoplastics. The facility also warehouses our frpDesign Solutions decorative panel products line.

Crane Composites employs more than 700 people worldwide and maintains manufacturing sites in Channahon, IL.; Jonesboro, AR.; Grand Junction, TN.; Joliet, IL.; Florence, KY.; Goshen, IN and Alton, England. Check our website to see photos and addresses of our facilities. We are committed to pursuing service and operational excellence.

Since its inception, Crane Composites has pioneered new products into new fields with new technology resulting in patents and leadership in the products it manufactures. The emphasis today has broadened to include national and international market areas in the Recreational Vehicle, Transportation and Building Products sectors.

The resulting Kemply panel has structural strength and rigidity, allowing fast and easy installation directly to studs on the wall or ceiling. The Kemply skin has the exclusive Surfaseal finish for the ultimate in moisture and chemical resistance.

Ceiling Grid System

Sanigrid® II

Sanigrid® II, the all-fiberglass ceiling grid system, is known for its moisture and corrosion resistance in high humidity installations. Sanigrid is a smart choice for areas where sanitation is important. It won't rust, pit, dent or peel like metal grid systems. The Sanigrid II system uses a series of pre-notched main tees and cross members to lock the grid together, eliminating the junction clips used with the original Sanigrid. The entire system goes together quickly which reduces the high installation cost previously associated with frp grids.
