Overview: The Steel Door Institute, established in 1954, is a voluntary, unincorporated, non-profit association whose mission is to promote the use of standard steel doors and frames for the construction industry. Membership is open to all companies, corporations, or other U.S. based enterprises engaged for at least two years in the production for sale of swing steel doors and/or frames on a national basis.
