Overview:
Weiland Sliding Doors and Windows, Inc. has evolved from a specialty woodworking business to a manufacturer of high precision European doors and windows. With over two decades of experience behind our designs, the company has positioned itself as the forerunner in European door and window products, modified for U.S. applications. In the early 90’s, an aluminum and aluminum wood door was introduced using European hardware. Our manufacturing plant has been located in the San Diego area since 1985.

The liftslide door design expands the options for filling an opening with a sliding door. A roller system of European design allows larger than normal door panels to be lifted above a flush track and roll easily when opening or closing the door. When lowered, the weight of the door, a special gasketing system, and multi-point locking provide excellent weather resistance and security.

The bifold door is a door system that folds to either the interior or exterior of the room, depending upon the type of door that is chosen. The panels can be up to 9' tall and as wide as 3’. This system creates a moving glass wall that opens up the interior of the home to the outside terrace or patio. For larger door systems see our Beefy Bifolds or consult our sales group for product suggestions.

The Beefy Bifold is manufactured for systems up to 13-1/2' tall with individual panels up to 5' wide (call for available configurations). Available in aluminum/wood and all aluminum, it is center-pivoting, folding 1/2 in and 1/2 out of the opening. The robust sash profile on the rails and stiles match those of the Lift Slide systems. The wider panels allow more glass and less obstructions to the view outside.

The Weiland French Door is built with the same sash profile as the liftslide and Beefy bifold doors. It is available in all aluminum, aluminum with a wood cladding on the interior, or all wood. The French door comes in heights up to 11 feet and widths to 4 feet, and can be a great compliment to nearby liftslides or folding doors.

In contrast to conventional sliding doors, this well engineered door system can be built to fill significantly larger than normal openings. The door can be built in a straight or curved line and can be stacked or pocketed into walls. Large screen doors, designed by Weiland, are also available. Liftslides are available in aluminum, aluminum with interior wood cladding, or all wood.

Folding door systems are especially useful when trying to maximize the size of an opening if there is no room for wall pockets. Weiland's Beefy Bifold is a folding door designed for openings up to 13-1/2' in height with individual panel widths up to 5' (depending on configuration). Using the same profile designs, the Beefy Bifold offers the same sash options as the Weiland liftslide. The standard bifold door is a versatile door system that can fold either to the interior or exterior of the room. The panels are designed for heights up to 9' and widths to 3'. Both of the bifold door designs can be configured in a straight line or meet at a corner. A man door (French door) can also be integrated into the panel configuration. Like our liftslides, they are available with low maintenance aluminum sashes and custom wood interior cladding.
