          1.4WINDOW PERFORMANCE
 
          A.Performance: Provide steel operator windows that comply with performance requirements indicated, as demonstrated by testing manufacturer's assemblies in accordance with test method indicated.
          1.Wind Loads: Window shall withstand positive and negative wind and service pressure loads normal to wall plane 90 psf (5.4 kPa) with no glass breakage or permanent damage preventing the unit from operating. Maximum allowable: 0.002 inch (0.5 mm) interior and exterior.
          2.Deflection: Maximum allowable deflection in any member when tested in accordance with ASTM E 330. Maximum allowable deflection: 0.020 inch (0.5 mm) exterior and 0.005 inch (0.127 mm) interior.
          3.Air Infiltration: When tested in accordance with ASTM E 283 at differential static pressure of 6.24 PSF (299 Pa), window shall have maximum allowable infiltration of 0.01 CFM/FT2 (0.19 m3/h*m2).
          4.Static Pressure Water Infiltration: No leakage other than condensation on indoor face of any component when tested in accordance with ASTM E 331 at test pressure differential of 9 PSF (539 Pa).
 
          1.5SUBMITTALS
 
          A.Submit under provisions of Section 01300.
 
          B.Product Data: Manufacturer's data sheets on each product to be used, including:
          1.Hardware, frame finish and glass construction.
          2.Preparation instructions and recommendations.
          3.Storage and handling requirements and recommendations.
          4.Installation methods.
 
          C.Shop Drawings: Provide detailed dimensioned elevations of each window type with multiple window unit connection details and installation.
          ** NOTE TO SPECIFIER ** Delete selection samples if colors have already been selected.
 
          D.Selection Samples: For each finish product specified, two complete sets of color chips representing manufacturer's full range of available colors and patterns.
 
          E.Verification Samples: For each finish product specified, two samples, minimum size 6 inches (150 mm) square, representing actual product, color, and patterns.
 
          1.6QUALITY ASSURANCE
 
          A.Manufacturer Qualifications:
          1.Manufacturer capable of providing field service representation during construction, approving acceptable installer and approving application method.
 
          B.Installer Qualifications:
          1.Installer experienced to perform work of this section when specialized in the installation of work similar to that required for this project.
          2.Submit reference list of completed projects.
          ** NOTE TO SPECIFIER ** Include a mock-up if the project size and/or quality warrant taking such a precaution. The following is one example of how a mock-up on a large project might be specified. When deciding on the extent of the mock-up, consider all the major different types of work on the project.

          1.7DELIVERY, STORAGE, AND HANDLING
 
          A.Store products in manufacturer's unopened packaging until ready for installation.
 
          B.Store and dispose of solvent-based materials, and materials used with solvent-based materials, in accordance with requirements of local authorities having jurisdiction.
 
          1.8PROJECT CONDITIONS
 
          A.Maintain environmental conditions (temperature, humidity, and ventilation) within limits recommended by manufacturer for optimum results. Do not install products under environmental conditions outside manufacturer's absolute limits.
 
          1.9WARRANTY
 
          A.Manufacturer's labor and material warranty for 10 years.

          3.1EXAMINATION

          3.2PREPARATION
 
          A.Clean surfaces thoroughly prior to installation.
 
          B.Prepare surfaces using the methods recommended by the manufacturer for achieving the best result for the substrate under the project conditions.
 
          3.3INSTALLATION
 
          A.Install in accordance with manufacturer's instructions.
 
          3.4PROTECTION
 
          A.Protect installed products until completion of project.
