	1.4	PERFORMANCE REQUIREMENTS
	** NOTE TO SPECIFIER ** The following listed Parrett windows have been tested to meet the requirements of AAMA / NWWDA 101. Design Pressures are applicable to individual units and may vary with unit size. Contact the manufacturer for additional information. Delete this paragraph if not required.
		A.	Window units shall be designed to comply with ANSI / AAMA / NWWDA 101 / I.S.2-97 and 101 / I.S. 2/ NAFS-02
			1.	Casement: C-C60.
			2.	Awning: AP-C60.
			3.	Single Hung: H-LC60.
			4.	Direct Set: F-C70.
			5.	Cellular PVC F-C75.
			6.	Air leakage shall not exceed the following when tested at 6.24 psf according to ASTM E 283.
			7.	No water penetration when tested at the following pressure according to ASTM E 547 and E 331: 9.0 psf.
			8.	Assembly shall withstand a positive or negative uniform static air pressure difference specified under AAMA test above without damage when tested according to ASTM E 330.
	** NOTE TO SPECIFIER ** Impact rated windows are available for High Velocity Hurricane and for Missile D impact. The following listed Parrett windows have been tested to meet the requirements of Miami -Dade County, IBC 1609.1.4 and the Florida Building Code (2001) 1606.1.4. Certified engineering drawings and copies of lab reports are available upon request. Delete this paragraph if not required.
		B.	Impact Rated Windows: The following products conform to ASTM E 330 for Static Air Pressure specified and have received Dade County Approval, conforming to ASTM E 1886, ASTM E 1996, TAS 201, TAS 202, and TAS 203 for large missile impact and cyclic pressure loading.
			1.	Parrett Wood Brickmould Direct Set: Design pressure F-C80, Acceptance No. 06-0405.07.

	1.5	SUBMITTALS
		A.	Submit under provisions of Section 01300.
		B.	Product Data: Manufacturer's data sheets on each product to be used, including:
			1.	Preparation instructions and recommendations.
			2.	Storage and handling requirements and recommendations.
			3.	Installation instructions.
		C.	Shop Drawings: Indicate opening dimensions, framed opening tolerances, affected related work; and installation requirements.
		D.	Submit two samples illustrating window frame section, mullion section, screen and frame, factory finished surfaces, glass, infill panels, and glazing materials.
		E.	Submit two samples of exposed operating window hardware.

	1.6	QUALITY ASSURANCE
		A.	Windows: Fabricate assembly in accordance with AAMA 101.
		B.	Insulated Glass: Fabricate insulated glass units in accordance with GANA

		C.	Mock-Up: Provide a mock-up for evaluation of opening preparation techniques and installation workmanship.
			1.	Install in areas designated by Architect.
			2.	Do not proceed with remaining work until approved by Architect.
			3.	Refinish mock-up area as required to produce acceptable work.
	1.7	QUALIFICATIONS
		A.	Manufacturer Qualifications: Company specializing in manufacturing residential and commercial wood windows with minimum five years documented experience.
		B.	Installer Qualifications: AAMA Certified Installer specializing in performing residential and commercial installation of wood windows and practicing AAMA Installation Masters methods.
	1.8	DELIVERY, STORAGE, AND HANDLING
		A.	Store products in manufacturer's unopened packaging until ready for installation.
		B.	Protect factory finished surfaces with wrapping. Do not use adhesive papers or sprayed coatings that bond when exposed to sunlight or weather.
		C.	Ventilate windows if covered during construction, or the glass may break or vinyl components may distort.
	1.9	PROJECT CONDITIONS
		A.	Maintain environmental conditions (temperature, humidity, and ventilation) within limits recommended by manufacturer for optimum results. Do not install products under environmental conditions outside manufacturer's absolute limits.
	1.10	WARRANTY
	** NOTE TO SPECIFIER ** The warranty required from the following paragraphs and delete those not required. The following limited warranty is subject to conditions and exclusions. For a more complete description of the limited warranty, refer to the Parrett Windows warranty descriptions.
