	1.4	SUBMITTALS

		B.	Product Data: Manufacturer's data sheets on each product to be used, including:
			1.	Preparation instructions and recommendations.
			2.	Storage and handling requirements and recommendations.
			3.	Installation methods.
		C.	Shop Drawings: Submit shop drawings indicating room sizes, layout, dimensions, material thickness, sizes and location of equipment.

	1.5	QUALITY ASSURANCE
		A.	Manufacturer Qualifications: All primary products specified in this section will be provided by a single manufacturer with a minimum of ten (10) years experience.
		B.	Installer Qualifications: All products listed in this section are to be installed by a single installer with a minimum of five (5) years demonstrated experience in installing products of the same type and scope as specified.
	** NOTE TO SPECIFIER ** Include a mock-up if the project size and/or quality warrant taking such a precaution. The following is one example of how a mock-up on a large project might be specified. When deciding on the extent of the mock-up, consider all the major different types of work on the project.
		C.	Mock-Up: Provide a mock-up for evaluation of surface preparation techniques and application workmanship.
			1.	Finish areas designated by Architect.
			2.	Do not proceed with remaining work until workmanship, color, and sheen are approved by Architect.
			3.	Refinish mock-up area as required to produce acceptable work.
	1.6	DELIVERY, STORAGE, AND HANDLING
		A.	Store products in manufacturer's unopened packaging until ready for installation.
		B.	Store and dispose of hazardous materials in accordance with requirements of local authorities having jurisdiction.
	1.7	PROJECT CONDITIONS
		A.	Maintain environmental conditions (temperature, humidity, and ventilation) within limits recommended by manufacturer for optimum results. Do not install products under environmental conditions outside manufacturer's absolute limits.
	1.8	WARRANTY
		A.	At project closeout, provide to the owner or owners representative an executed copy of Spec-Rite Designs, LLC 10-year warranty against defects in material and 2 years against workmanship signed by an authorized representative of Spec-Rite Designs, LLC.

	2.1	MANUFACTURERS

	2.2	TOILET PARTITIONS

		A.	Overhead Braced partitions consisting of solid phenolic pilasters, panels and doors; plated steel leveling devices with stainless steel covers; aluminum overhead bracing, and stainless steel fittings, hardware, and fastenings necessary for complete installation and structural support from the floor as well as additional support to the upper pilasters.
		B.	Floor to Ceiling Anchored partitions consisting of solid phenolic pilasters, panels and doors; plated steel and aluminum leveling devices with stainless steel covers; and stainless steel fittings, hardware, and fastenings necessary for a complete installation and structural support from the floor and ceiling.
	** NOTE TO SPECIFIER ** Spec-Rite Designs has added an exception to the warranty of our ceiling hung DesignRite® Partitions. In order to uphold the integrity of our design, we must clearly state the way in which these partitions should be hung in order to uphold the intended design of the partition, while allowing us to warranty the craftsmanship. Spec-Rite Designs will continue to design and manufacture our line of ceiling hung DesignRite® Partitions and our warranty for ceiling hung partitions.
		C.	Ceiling Hung partitions consisting of solid phenolic pilasters, panels and doors; aluminum leveling devices with stainless steel covers; and stainless steel fittings, hardware, and fastenings necessary for complete installation and structural support from the ceiling only.

	2.3	URINAL SCREENS

	2.4	TOILET PARTITION AND URINAL SCREEN MATERIALS
		A.	General: Decorative papers impregnated with the melamine resin on faces with a clear protective overcoat and integrally compression molded within a core consisting of phenolic resin impregnated kraft paper.

			1.	Fire resistance: Core meets Underwriters Laboratories (UL) Class A fire resistance per ASTM E84.

	2.5	TOILET PARTITION AND URINAL SCREEN FABRICATION
		A.	Panels and Urinal Screens:
			1.	Height and width: As indicated in shop drawings.
			2.	Corners: Rounded.
			3.	Edges: Crescent profile; machine polished and free from tooling imperfections.
		B.	Pilasters and Doors:
			1.	Door Dimensions: Unless otherwise indicated, furnish 24 inch (610mm) wide in-swing doors for standard toilet partitions; 36 inch (914mm) wide opening out-swing doors when located at the end or when located at the side, and for partitions equipped for use by the physically disabled.
			2.	Pilaster Dimensions: Pilaster to be a minimum of 3 inches (76mm) wide and a maximum of 24 inches (610mm) as calculated from field dimensions or indicated on the shop drawings.
			3.	Panel Dimensions: Calculate Panel dimensions from field dimensions or as indicated on the shop drawings.
			4.	Exposed Corners: Rounded.
			5.	Edges: Crescent profile; machine polished and free from tooling imperfections.
	PART 3	EXECUTION
	3.1	EXAMINATION
		A.	Do not begin installation until substrates have been properly prepared.
		B.	If substrate preparation is the responsibility of another installer, notify Architect of unsatisfactory preparation before proceeding.
	3.2	PREPARATION
		A.	Clean surfaces thoroughly prior to installation.
		B.	Prepare surfaces using the methods recommended by the manufacturer for achieving the best result for the substrate under the project conditions.

	3.3	TOILET PARTITION AND URINAL SCREEN INSTALLATION
		A.	Install toilet partitions and urinal screens as shown on the shop drawings and in accordance with the manufacturer's specifications and printed installation instructions. Install toilet compartments and doors in a rigid and substantial manner, straight and plumb, with horizontal lines level.
		B.	Secure pilasters to supporting members. Level, plumb, and tighten the anchorage devices for a complete installation.
		C.	Secure panels and doors to pilasters so that exterior faces are flush. Provide clearances of not more than 1/2 inch (13mm) between pilasters and panels, and 1 inch (25mm) between panels and walls.
		D.	Secure panels and urinal screens to walls with wall brackets.
	** NOTE TO SPECIFIER ** Select Fastening method(s) based on wall type. Delete paragraph(s) not applicable to this project.
			1.	At light gauged steel-framed walls, fasten brackets with toggle or molly bolts into metal studs or backing plates fastened directly to the studs.
			2.	At wood framed walls, fasten brackets with wood screws into wood studs or blocking fastened directly to the studs.
			3.	At concrete or masonry walls, fasten brackets with screws and expansion anchors.
		E.	Use hardware supplied or recommended by the manufacturer.
	3.4	CLEANING AND ADJUSTMENT
		A.	Clean all surfaces in accordance with manufacturer's instructions. Do not use abrasive cleaners.

		B.	After installation, carefully adjust hardware for proper operation.
	** NOTE TO SPECIFIER ** Select Door Adjustment(s) based on type of door(s). Delete paragraph(s) not applicable to this project.
			1.	Set hinges on in-swing doors to hold open approximately 30 degrees from the closed position when unlatched.
			2.	Set hinges on institutional in-swing doors to the fully closed position when unlatched
			3.	Set hinges on out-swing doors to return to the fully closed position.
		C.	Adjust pilasters so that bottoms of doors are level in the closed position.
	3.5	PROTECTION
		A.	Protect installed products until completion of project.
		B.	Touch-up, repair or replace damaged products before Substantial Completion.
